During 1970 -1971 Grandmaster Kim began giving demonstrations at the UH Central Campus, which led to the formation of a karate club at the UH.  In 1973 Grandmaster Kim began teaching Chayon Ryu in the College of Education.  These classes were so popular they sometimes had as many as 150 students at a time.  This picture was taken during the 1995 spring semester in the Hofheinz Pavillion, where the class was taught.
